Gus The Bass is seeking a freelance editor to help shape entertaining, story-driven YouTube videos centered on fishing, wildlife, and outdoor adventures. This role is focused on producing polished long-form content, with a target of one to two finished videos each week, typically running between 15 and 25 minutes.
Weโll supply the scripts and source footage; your role is to bring everything together into a compelling final cut. That includes choosing the best moments, building strong pacing, enhancing the mood with music and sound design, cleaning up audio, correcting color, and adding graphics or other visual support where needed. Sample videos will be provided so you can get a clear sense of the channelโs tone and editing approach.
Compensation for long-form edits ranges from $300 to $500 per video, depending on experience and the complexity of the project. While the main focus is on full-length episodes, there may also be opportunities to create Shorts from existing footage, which would be handled and priced separately.
The right editor will know how to turn raw footage into a strong narrative with momentum, personality, and payoff. You should be comfortable building suspense, highlighting humorous or unexpected moments, and making sure each video feels satisfying from beginning to end. Youโll need to work from a script while also using your creative judgment to improve the final result.
Experience or genuine interest in fishing, animals, or outdoor content is a strong advantage. Weโre looking for someone who communicates clearly, responds well to feedback, stays organized, and raises concerns early if anything could affect deadlines or quality.
If you enjoy documentary-style storytelling and like editing content that blends personality, nature, and real-world moments, this could be a great match. We value editors who can elevate footage with thoughtful storytelling and dependable execution.
