About the Role:

We are in search of a talented YouTube Thumbnail Designer who can transform compelling content ideas into eye-catching visuals that enhance viewer engagement. Your expertise in crafting thumbnails specifically for YouTube, paired with your understanding of effective click-through strategies, will be key in producing designs that captivate our audience.

Channel Aesthetic:

Our channel exudes a relaxed and artistic atmosphere, catering to photography enthusiasts. While our videos maintain an educational yet casual tone, the thumbnails must be visually arresting and provoke curiosity to drive viewer interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design thumbnails featuring up to three core elements, utilizing bold sans serif fonts such as Helvetica, Montserrat, or Poppins.
• Create visually striking designs with minimal text, ideally no more than four words, to maintain focus on the imagery.
• Implement design strategies that include proper spacing, contrasting colors, and a mobile-first approach to ensure clarity on all devices.
• Ensure all designs have a central focal point and convey the appropriate mood and emotion linked to the video content.
• Avoid using stroke outlines, drop shadows, emojis, or more than three colors in the design, as well as keeping elements away from edges and corners.

Deliverables:

• Produce three distinct main thumbnail concepts for each video, each employing a unique strategic approach.
• For each concept, create three variations that explore different colors, text placements, and sizes, totaling nine thumbnails per project.

Technical Requirements:

• Submit source files in PSD or AI format along with high-resolution exports ready for YouTube.

• Initial delivery of concepts expected within 48-72 hours, with revisions made within 24 hours.
• Be prepared for swift adjustments based on performance insights.
