What You'll Do
As our Thumbnail Designer, you'll be responsible for crafting high-performing, on-brand thumbnails that captivate our audience at first glance. Your designs should communicate a single, clear idea effectively, helping to boost our content's click-through rates. Additionally, you'll collaborate on the overall packaging of our videos, ensuring consistency in titles and other visual elements.
Who You Are
You should have at least 2 years of experience in designing YouTube thumbnails, particularly for talking-head content. Your portfolio should reflect a strong understanding of composition, contrast, and typography. Experience with different branding styles and an ability to adapt and innovate within those frameworks is essential. While an interest in fitness and science is beneficial, your creativity and ability to communicate visually are what truly matter.
Key Requirements
- Design 2–3 thumbnails per month with a 48–72 hour turnaround time.
- Deliver high-resolution thumbnails ready for upload.
- Work collaboratively via shared drives like Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Optionally, provide multiple concept options per project or support A/B testing efforts.
