Cross Court is looking for a skilled YouTube script writer to join our team remotely and help shape content for a channel centered on streamers, viral incidents, controversies, and internet-driven stories.

Our videos are built around strong visuals, fast pacing, and curated clips. We need someone who can dig into each story, uncover the real context, and write concise narration that supports the footage without overpowering it.

This role is ideal for a writer who understands how to keep viewers engaged with clean structure, accurate research, and natural-sounding voiceover that moves the story forward.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Researching streamer-related events, viral clips, and online controversies
• Tracking down original footage and confirming the facts behind each moment
• Checking details carefully instead of relying on assumptions
• Writing brief, clear voiceover lines that connect each clip
• Building scripts in a clip-first format that follows a smooth sequence
• Adding links, timestamps, and source references when needed
• Ranking countdown-style stories from strongest to least strong moments
• Keeping the pacing tight and avoiding unnecessary explanation

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of YouTube culture, streamers, and online trends
• Excellent research skills and attention to detail
• Experience finding original sources and verifying information
• Ability to write in simple, natural, and engaging English
• Good instincts for pacing, retention, and audience interest
• A writer who can stay on style and avoid filler
• Reliability with deadlines and consistent communication
• Interest in a long-term working relationship

Writing approach:

We are not looking for long, heavily narrated documentary scripts. The footage should carry most of the story, while the writing provides just enough setup to guide the viewer from one clip to the next.

In most cases, that means keeping narration short and focused — usually one or two sentences before a clip to give context and build momentum. The tone should feel conversational, entertaining, and natural for YouTube rather than formal or overly polished.

Compensation and volume:

• Pay ranges from $60 to $80 per script, based on quality and experience
• Minimum workload of 6 scripts per month
• Strong performers may be assigned up to 12 scripts monthly
• This is a long-term opportunity for the right writer
