👉 Job Description

Do you possess a flair for storytelling and a keen eye for video production? If so, your expertise could be just what we're looking for at Code Blue Cam. As a creative visionary, you'll play a crucial role in crafting engaging mini-documentaries from raw law enforcement footage.

Who We Are:

Code Blue Cam is a thriving YouTube channel dedicated to bringing real police bodycam footage to life. Our mission is to weave raw, unfiltered moments into gripping narratives that inform and engage viewers, offering insight into the world of law enforcement with thoughtful narration and a compelling narrative structure.

Your Role:

As a YouTube Producer, you will:

  • Transform raw police bodycam footage into captivating YouTube videos that resonate with viewers.
  • Develop compelling narratives: structure scenes, build suspense, and maintain viewer interest throughout.
  • Translate police reports and incident documents into engaging video scripts and outlines.
  • Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to enhance videos with motion graphics, text overlays, and effects.
  • Collaborate with our team during pre-production to brainstorm, outline, and script video stories before editing.
  • Contribute creative ideas for shots, narrative flow, and content direction.
  • Guide the creative process from concept to final product, ensuring each video aligns with our brand's vision.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential, with After Effects being a significant advantage.
  • Extensive experience editing YouTube content, particularly those involving personality-driven or documentary-style storytelling.

  • A deep understanding of or interest in law enforcement is highly valued.

This Opportunity Might Not Suit You If:

  • You prefer to receive explicit instructions without contributing to the creative process.
  • You're not interested in being involved in story development before editing starts.
  • You find intense, real-world police footage challenging to work with.
