Your Mission

As the YouTube Growth Strategist, you will be at the forefront of transforming Eric Siu’s YouTube channel into a dynamic platform that not only captivates audiences but also drives meaningful business results. Your role will involve developing and executing innovative content strategies, conducting packaging experiments, and leveraging competitor insights to create compelling, growth-focused video assets.

What Success Looks Like

In the first six months, you will aim to achieve a 50% monthly increase in net subscribers, double our lead generation through email signups and consultations, and elevate our click-through rates from an average of 4% to over 7% by optimizing video titles, thumbnails, and hooks. You will also contribute to the creation of at least two standout videos monthly that demonstrate exceptional retention and lead conversion.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Content Innovation: Lead the charge in identifying trending topics and untapped opportunities through thorough competitor and audience analysis. Regularly pitch and validate high-impact video concepts.
• Optimization and Experimentation: Focus relentlessly on improving video performance through strategic A/B testing of titles, hooks, and thumbnails. Maintain a comprehensive swipe file of successful tactics.
• Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze YouTube analytics and other relevant metrics to inform strategic decisions and optimize content for both reach and business impact.
• Hands-On Leadership: While your role is primarily strategic, you’ll also dive into the creative process, from editing to thumbnail testing, as needed to fast-track growth experiments.
• Collaborative Execution: Work closely with Eric and a talented team of creators, editors, and designers to ensure seamless execution of content strategies across platforms.
• Cross-Platform Expertise: Experience in maximizing content value across platforms like LinkedIn, X, or Instagram Reels is highly advantageous.

What You Bring

• 3-5+ years of proven experience in expanding YouTube channels, particularly those with substantial subscriber bases or consistent high viewership.
• A track record of linking YouTube growth to tangible business outcomes, such as increased email signups and consultations.
• Proficiency in crafting engaging video titles and hooks, with the ability to showcase case studies or examples of past successes.
• Strong analytical skills with fluency in YouTube Studio, TubeBuddy/VidIQ, GA4, and other analytics tools.
• A strategic mindset capable of identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends and competitive insights.
• A player-coach mentality, capable of mentoring team members while actively contributing to content development and testing when required.

Desirable Skills

Experience with LinkedIn, TikTok, or X for short-form content growth, as well as familiarity with AI editing tools and paid traffic funnels, will be considered a plus.

Compensation and Work Environment

• Compensation is dependent on experience and proven growth achievements.
• Eligible for a performance bonus of up to 20%, based on subscriber growth and lead generation targets.
• This is a remote position, with a preference for U.S. candidates who can align with Pacific Standard Time for at least four hours daily.
