We're seeking an individual who not only excels in video editing with precision and flair but also possesses a deep enthusiasm for city-building games or technology. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an emerging talent ready to grow, your creativity and technical acumen will be highly valued here.
In this role, you won't just edit videos; you'll craft them. You'll take simple footage and transform it into compelling stories, spotlighting the excitement and humor inherent in our content. We're searching for someone who maintains high standards for technical quality while daring to experiment and push the boundaries of conventional video production to captivate our audience.
Your role will encompass editing a variety of content forms, from long-form narratives to short, impactful clips. Your tasks will include everything from crafting seamless transitions and soundscapes to ensuring impeccable color grading and timing. Additionally, you'll be hands-on with camera operations, lighting, and audio during studio sessions for Zoning Out. Your organizational skills will be vital as you manage our storage and backup workflows, allowing our projects to remain fluid and accessible. Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with the channel owner, brainstorming and conceptualizing innovative video ideas.
To thrive in this role, you'll need proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Affinity. A keen understanding of YouTube's unique pacing and audience engagement strategies is crucial, alongside a foundational knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio essentials. We require a commitment to work from our Madison, WI studio at least half the time, prioritizing candidates from the local area as relocation support is not available.
