Pod Fiction is launching a new three-host entertainment podcast built around lively conversations on movies, television, gaming, anime, and the wider world of pop culture. Weโre searching for a reliable, long-term editor who can help us deliver episodes that sound polished, clear, and professional from start to finish.
This role is centered on audio quality first. Our production style is intentionally simple, with minimal visual editing and no need for flashy effects, meme inserts, or excessive transitions. In most episodes, your work will focus on cleaning up the conversation, tightening the pacing where needed, and ensuring every voice sounds balanced and easy to follow.
The main challenge will be blending three separate microphone recordings into one smooth, consistent final product. We want each episode to feel natural and conversational, with strong sound quality that supports the discussion rather than distracting from it.
What weโre looking for
Weโd love to work with someone who has solid experience editing podcasts or similar dialogue-driven content and understands how to make multi-speaker recordings sound professional. You should be comfortable shaping vocal tone, controlling dynamics, reducing noise, and creating a consistent listening experience across every episode.
The ideal editor will also know how to handle common recording issues such as mic bleed, room echo, and background noise. Experience working with conversational or entertainment podcasts is a strong plus, especially if youโve edited shows with multiple hosts.
