Position: Remote Video Editor for Travel Vlogs

About Us: Travel Destinasians is a dynamic duo of travel content creators seeking a skilled video editor to collaborate with us remotely. We are on the hunt for a creative individual to help us manage our extensive collection of travel footage efficiently and affordably.

We’ve crafted a seamless and highly automated process to streamline editing tasks. Your primary responsibility will be assembling creative and engaging skeleton cuts of our travel vlogs. This role is perfect for storytellers who can focus on narrative flow and pacing, while leaving the finishing touches to us.

Your Responsibilities:

• Access and download our lightweight proxy files in H.265 1080p format from our secured server.
• Utilize our custom-made DaVinci Resolve Master Template for all editing tasks.
• Execute a provided Python script that will automatically ingest proxies, organize footage, and categorize cameras into Smart Bins.
• Craft a compelling rough cut using our pre-designed timeline.
• Explore Artlist.io for suitable music and sound effects, and incorporate watermarked previews into the timeline for our final download and replacement.
• Return the completed .drp file to us for further processing.

What You Won’t Handle:

• Color Grading: Our team will manage all color adjustments internally.
• Audio Mixing: Leave the EQ, leveling, and sound effects refinement to us.
• Proxy Creation: All proxy files will be pre-prepared for your use.
• Footage Organization: Our footage will be systematically categorized and ready for editing.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is essential due to our workflow reliance on its features.
• Strong aptitude for editing and storytelling, particularly for YouTube travel content.
• Stable internet connection for downloading proxy files efficiently.
