About the Role

We’re looking for a creative video editor who knows how to turn simple ideas into punchy, scroll-stopping YouTube Shorts. At Ranking Things for Real, you’ll help shape comedic ranking content into engaging short-form videos that are built for retention, laughs, and repeat views.

Your work will focus on editing short-form content with strong pacing, clean visual flow, and attention-grabbing hooks. You’ll be working remotely and collaborating on content that blends humor, rankings, and quick storytelling for an English-speaking audience.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has a strong feel for short-form comedy editing and understands what makes viewers stay until the end. You should be comfortable cutting fast, adding energy with sound and visuals, and enhancing videos with captions, effects, and timing that support the joke or reveal.

We value editors who are creative, reliable, and able to work independently. If you understand the rhythm of YouTube Shorts and Reels-style content, can follow direction well, and have an eye for making content more entertaining, this role could be a great fit.

Requirements

Experience editing short-form videos such as YouTube Shorts, Reels, or similar vertical content is important. You should be fluent in English, comfortable working remotely, and capable of delivering polished edits that match a comedy-driven style.

Strong knowledge of editing tools, basic motion elements, captions, pacing, and audio syncing is expected. A good sense of humor, creativity, and the ability to make ranking content feel dynamic and engaging will help you succeed in this position.
