Palette Media is looking for a dependable Michigan videographer to support a one-day political interview shoot in the greater Detroit area on Tuesday, October 27, during the early evening window of approximately 6:30โ7:00 p.m. ET.
The assignment will take place onsite with the interview participant, while the interviewer joins remotely. Youโll be responsible for capturing the conversation with professional camera work, clean audio, and well-balanced lighting. The interview itself is expected to run about 30 minutes, but please plan for additional time before the start to handle setup, testing, and final checks.
Weโre especially interested in someone who is comfortable working independently, can move efficiently on set, and is confident managing the technical side of a live interview environment. Because this project involves political and campaign-related content, prior experience in similar settings is a plus.
The exact location is still being finalized, but the production will be based in or around Detroit. Applicants should be available for the scheduled shoot date and able to travel to the confirmed site once details are shared.
What Weโre Looking For
Ideal candidates will have experience filming interviews with strong visual composition, reliable sound capture, and appropriate lighting setup. You should be comfortable handling camera, audio, and lighting on your own, while staying in communication with a remote producer or interviewer. Responsiveness, professionalism, and flexibility are important for this assignment.
To be considered, please include:
Your current location and availability for Tuesday, October 27; examples of relevant work; the equipment you can bring for camera, audio, and lighting; and your rate, including any equipment or travel expenses.
Please send your location, availability, relevant samples, equipment list, and proposed rate, including any travel costs.
