What You'll Bring to the Team

We are in search of a strategic and innovative designer who can transform our current thumbnails into eye-catching visuals that not only attract viewers but also enhance their viewing experience. Your understanding of attention psychology, beyond mere design trends, will be key to your success in this role.

Guided by the Callaway 5-Step Thumbnail Playbook, you'll focus on creating visuals that dazzle, convey value, and resonate emotionally with our audience.

What We're Looking For

• Expertise in color psychology, composition, and contrast to create visually appealing designs
• Proficiency in using faces, emotions, bold typography, and clean graphics to communicate compelling messages
• Skill in visually supporting the video's promise without redundancy
• Quick turnaround capabilities and a mindset geared towards A/B testing
• Familiarity with YouTube's best practices, including safe zones, timestamp management, and optimizing click-through rates
• Capability to refresh existing thumbnails and generate fresh concepts for upcoming content

Your Key Responsibilities

• Redesign existing thumbnails to boost click-through rates
• Conceptualize thumbnails using the “Desire + Pain Point + Promise” framework for impactful storytelling
• Collaborate with our video team to maintain cohesive branding
• Curate a collection of top-performing thumbnails within the medical and educational spaces
• Provide 2-3 design variations per video for testing purposes
