No Fluff Cruising is growing a network of cruise-focused YouTube channels and is looking for a reliable short-form video editor to help transform regular footage into scroll-stopping vertical videos. This is remote, project-based freelance work for someone who enjoys fast-paced edits, understands what performs on short-form platforms, and can work within an established channel style.

The role centers on editing vertical videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok. Each finished piece should be delivered as a single master export in 1080x1920 format and kept under 60 seconds. You’ll be working from provided footage, a house style guide, and a shared sound library, with all feedback and review handled in Frame.io.

We create a mix of content formats, including cruise commentary clips, quick challenge-style videos, and man-on-the-street interview edits. The ideal editor can move between these formats comfortably while keeping the pacing tight, the visuals clean, and the energy high. The goal is to make each video feel native to the platform: quick cuts, minimal dead space, clear captions, and sound design that supports the story without overpowering it.

This opportunity begins with an unpaid one-minute trial edit so we can evaluate fit, editing quality, and alignment with the channel’s style. If the trial is successful, ongoing projects will be paid at up to $10 USD per edit. This is a good fit for an editor who is comfortable starting small and building into more consistent work over time.

We’re especially interested in editors who already have experience with vertical content and understand how to keep viewers engaged in the first few seconds. A strong sense of timing, restraint with effects, and the ability to match an existing brand style are all important. We value creators who can take direction, follow a style guide, and deliver polished work without needing heavy oversight.

What you’ll be editing:

Cruise-related short videos with punchy commentary and ranking-style formats, fast-moving challenge or experiment clips, and short interview-style moments captured in the field. The content can vary, but the editing approach should always feel modern, native to social media, and easy to watch on mobile.

What we’re looking for:

Someone with at least 1 year of short-form editing experience, solid English communication skills, and a portfolio or sample edits that show your style and pacing. You should be comfortable using editing software that supports vertical exports, understand social platform safe zones, and be open to completing the unpaid trial before paid work begins.
