About the Opportunity

Pak A Day is seeking a talented video editor who can turn livestream moments, planned segments, and recurring branded formats into compelling YouTube content. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to build momentum, keep viewers watching, and shape footage into polished videos that feel fun, dynamic, and on-brand.

You’ll work across a steady weekly content pipeline that includes a mix of fast-paced Shorts and one longer feature edit. Most of the short-form content follows repeatable structures, which makes this a great fit for an editor who enjoys efficient workflows, templated production, and consistent output without sacrificing quality.

What You’ll Create Each Week

- 7 short-form videos built from livestream highlights, reactions, openings, and reveal moments

- 7 Daily Binder Shorts using an established branded format

- 7 quick code-card reveal videos produced in batches from a reusable template

- 1 long-form video, approximately 8 to 15 minutes, cut from a planned livestream segment

We’ll provide the footage, creative direction, and content ideas. Your role is to identify the strongest moments, shape them into engaging edits, and help maintain the distinct Pak A Day style across all content. The Binder and code-card formats will be built out during onboarding and refined for a smooth, repeatable process.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a reliable, creative editor with experience producing both short-form and long-form YouTube content. The right person understands how to hold attention, create strong openings, and use editing tools intentionally to enhance the story rather than distract from it.

You should be comfortable working with livestream footage, spotting entertaining moments on your own, and transforming raw content into watchable, high-retention videos. A strong sense of timing, pacing, and audience engagement is essential.

Ideal Skills and Experience

- Experience editing YouTube Shorts and longer-form videos

- Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling

- Ability to add captions, graphics, zooms, music, and sound effects with purpose

- Confidence reviewing livestream footage and selecting standout moments independently

- Ability to work within a consistent style while contributing creative ideas

- Experience building and reusing templates for efficient production

- Clear communication, responsiveness to feedback, and dependable turnaround times

- Organized file management and clean export delivery

- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar professional editing tools

- Interest in a long-term working relationship as the channel continues to grow

Experience with Pokémon, trading cards, gaming, collectibles, or livestream-based content is highly valued. Familiarity with uploading and scheduling content in Simplified is a plus, though not required. Above all, we care most about the quality of the edit.

Role Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with both short-form and long-form video editing

- A portfolio featuring relevant samples

- Strong command of storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention techniques

- Ability to work from livestream footage with minimal direction

- Skill in adding accurate captions, visual elements, music, and effects

- Comfort creating and reusing branded editing systems

- Strong written English and close attention to detail

- Reliable communication and ability to meet weekly deadlines

- Willingness to revise work based on feedback

- Ability to keep project files organized and deliver properly formatted exports

- Availability for a consistent part-time, long-term arrangement

- Willingness to complete a paid editing test using Pak A Day footage
