Brooklyn Van Zandt, an independent LA-based artist with a growing audience across TikTok and Instagram, is looking for a talented long-term short-form editor to help expand her music content across social platforms.

The role centers on turning professionally shot footage into a steady stream of vertical videos designed for TikTok, Reels, and similar formats. You’ll receive organized batches of source material and be expected to creatively build multiple distinct edits from each set — including lyric-driven videos, performance highlights, cinematic moments, candid cuts, fast-paced sequences, and text-led hooks. The goal is to create content that feels fresh, polished, and naturally made for social media, with the music always front and center.

This is an ongoing collaboration for the right creative partner. If the fit is strong, the work will continue on a monthly retainer basis, with new footage coming in regularly and a consistent need for a large library of ready-to-publish clips. The ideal editor will be able to look at one folder of footage and immediately see numerous content opportunities.

What we're looking for:

- Experience editing short-form music content such as lyric videos, artist performance clips, and behind-the-scenes moments

- Strong command of Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve, especially for timing lyrics accurately

- A strong understanding of current TikTok and Reels trends for independent artists

- Dependable weekly turnaround and consistent communication

Trial project:

Applicants will be given a folder containing visuals from the EP DON'T THINK IT'S REAL, along with lyrics and official audio for three songs. Choose the track that inspires you most and create one video, or a few if you'd like to show more range. This test is unpaid and will be the only unpaid task requested.

The purpose of the trial is to evaluate your creative instincts, editing style, pacing, typography, hook development, and ability to interpret the artist’s visual identity. Preview-quality footage is provided intentionally for the test; full-resolution assets will be available if selected for the role.
