Are you a creative comedy writer with a passion for tech, PC hardware, and gaming? We are seeking a talented individual to bring humor to our YouTube channel through short-form skits. Your mission: deliver two engaging scripts weekly, each featuring dynamic, two-character dialogues performed in a home office setting.

The essence of your role is to create dialogue-driven comedy that captivates audiences in just 30 to 90 seconds. You'll have the freedom to personify tech elements—imagine Microsoft Copilot making an unexpected cameo or Apple Intelligence playfully misleading about new features. Our subjects span the latest in tech news, PC hardware trends, and gaming culture. While the tech sets the scene, comedy remains the star of the show.

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexible and asynchronous collaboration through platforms like Slack and Loom.

Your Responsibilities

• Create two compelling skits per week, with lengths ranging from 30 to 90 seconds
• Draw inspiration from the latest in tech news, hardware releases, and gaming culture, infusing your unique personification ideas
• Craft sharp, witty dialogue for two distinct characters, ensuring the narrative captivates until the punchline
• Continuously refine and evolve content based on audience engagement and view-through data

Your Qualifications

• Proven experience in comedy writing, whether through sketch, improv, stand-up, or similar creative paths—your humor should shine through
• Solid understanding of the tech world, PC hardware, and gaming trends—no need to be a tech whiz, but familiarity with current events and trends is essential
• Ability to write distinctive dialogue that clearly differentiates between characters
• Skill in transforming news stories into concise, entertaining skits with a clear setup, escalation, and punchline
• Flexibility and openness to feedback, with a readiness to adapt scripts on the fly
• Avoidance of clichés—no em dashes, no robotic lines, and steer clear of generic tech jargon

Job Structure

• Contract-based, remote position
• Compensation ranges from $100 to $200 per script, based on experience and required revisions
• Commitment to producing a minimum of two scripts per week, with potential for increased workload based on collaboration success
• Initial 90-day contract with the possibility of extension if mutually beneficial
