About Our Channel: Our channel delivers gripping faceless documentaries, featuring episodes ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, which weave together real crime case footage from bodycams, dashcams, and interrogation rooms. These narratives are enriched with voiceover narration and sleek motion graphics, maintaining a cinematic and tension-driven atmosphere without superfluous editing.

Your Role: As a Senior Video Editor, you will be responsible for the complete creative edit, incorporating custom animations and assembling footage from various sources. Your tasks will include audio enhancement, music selection, and pacing, combining the roles of an editor and a motion designer.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in After Effects with a knack for crafting custom animations
• Experience in editing bodycam, dashcam, and interrogation footage, including audio refinement and multi-camera synchronization
• A keen cinematic sense to build tension effectively
• A proven track record in long-form documentaries, particularly within the true crime genre
• Excellent command of English, especially in reading and listening to complex legal and police audio
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Direct engagement preferred; no agencies or outsourcing

Compensation and Terms:

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from $1,667 to $2,500, based on portfolio
• Regular performance reviews at 30 days and 3 months with potential for salary increases
• Utilize Hubstaff for time management and workflow optimization
• Full-time commitment of 160 hours per month, fully asynchronous with no specific timezone obligations
• Confidentiality agreement required
• Long-term engagement encouraged
