We seek writers who can elevate our storytelling to new heights, continually refining our narrative quality.

Your Role: As a scriptwriter, you will transform assigned case footage into compelling documentary scripts. You will strategically select footage, craft narrative structures, and write engaging, retention-focused narrations that captivate our audience. Your storytelling prowess will be pivotal in shaping the narrative's pacing, hooks, and revelations.

Resources Provided: We supply all necessary footage and key moments, enabling you to dedicate your full attention to crafting top-notch scripts.

Content Sensitivity: This role involves working with raw and potentially disturbing crime scene material. Applicants must be comfortable engaging with such content authentically.

Essential Qualifications:

• Exceptional command of American English, with a natural, conversational writing style.
• Demonstrable experience in true crime or documentary scriptwriting, with scripts that have been aired.
• Strong understanding of YouTube audience retention strategies, including narrative hooks and pacing.
• Proficiency in writing scripts guided by specific footage, especially bodycam and interrogation clips.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A unique, human writing voice, avoiding generic or formulaic phrasing.
• Direct involvement only; no agencies or third-party outsourcing.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary between $24,000 and $33,600, starting rate based on writing samples.
• Opportunities for salary reviews and raises at 30 days and 3 months.
• Work fully asynchronously without any timezone restrictions.
• Non-disclosure agreement required.
