About the Role

Silver Scrapes is a YouTube-first production team focused on high-quality, faceless documentaries and video essays centered on the world of competitive League of Legends. Our work explores iconic matches, evolving strategies, unforgettable rivalries, and the moments that shaped the esport’s history.

We’re expanding our content pipeline and searching for a skilled Lead Scriptwriter to join us for a long-term collaboration. In this role, you’ll develop polished documentary scripts for videos typically ranging from 15 to 30+ minutes, with an emphasis on strong pacing, rich context, and storytelling that keeps viewers engaged from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ideas from concept to finished script, turning complex esports history into clear, exciting narratives. That includes researching matches, rosters, patch changes, tournament context, and player storylines to ensure every script is accurate, original, and insightful.

Your writing will need to balance analysis and entertainment. We’re looking for scripts that open with a strong hook, build tension across a clear three-act structure, and land with a memorable payoff. You’ll also help shape the final viewing experience by adding notes for visuals, key gameplay moments, audio cues, and editing references that support the narration.

In addition to writing, you’ll collaborate with our team on video concepts, packaging ideas, and potential titles to help shape content that performs well on YouTube.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate lives and breathes competitive League of Legends. You should have a deep understanding of the global scene, including past and present leagues such as LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, and Worlds, along with a strong grasp of draft theory, macro decision-making, and meta evolution.

We’re especially interested in writers who understand how YouTube storytelling works: pacing, retention, curiosity-driven structure, and chapter flow. Your writing should feel natural for voiceover, with polished English, strong rhythm, and the ability to hold attention through long-form content.

Applicants with backgrounds in coaching, analysis, high-level play, esports journalism, or amateur competitive scenes are strongly encouraged to apply, especially if you’re looking to bring that experience into documentary-style content.

Compensation & Collaboration

This is a long-term opportunity with a dependable workflow and room to grow. Compensation includes a competitive flat fee per completed script, with the potential for additional bonuses or revenue-sharing on standout videos.

If you’re passionate about League of Legends, love crafting compelling esports narratives, and want to help build a channel with lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you.
