About Our Project: We are not your typical YouTube vloggers. Our focus is not on algorithms or view counts but on creating a timeless video album for our children. This project is deeply personal, aiming to encapsulate the soul and essence of our family's adventure.

We are searching for an editor who possesses a natural ability to weave narratives from raw footage. You won't just be piecing together clips; you'll be crafting a story that resonates emotionally, a narrative that our family will cherish for years to come.

Why We Need You: Currently, our video projects have piled up, preventing us from capturing new moments. We need a fresh set of eyes to take over the initial rough cut, allowing us to focus on filming new content. Your primary tools will be Blackmagic Cloud and DaVinci Resolve, focusing solely on rough cut assembly. Leave the final touches, like color grading and audio mastering, to us.

The Story You'll Help Tell:

You'll work with over 7 hours of footage to craft a 15–20 minute film. Our story unfolds with:

• Our Family: Sharny, Julius, and our six children, with a rich history of living as global nomads.
• Returning to Roots: Julius revisits New Zealand, returning after 25 years with his family.
• A Family Reunion: A visit instigated by Julius's brother in Christchurch, providing our children a taste of farm life.
• An Epic Road Trip: A journey through New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes, culminating in a family reunion in Auckland.

Your challenge is to structure this narrative, pacing the emotional beats and highlighting the poignant moments of a father’s homecoming.

The Technical Side:

Our footage, captured with high-end equipment (Sony, Nikon, DJI), is meticulously organized for seamless access. You'll receive proxy files via cloud, ensuring smooth collaboration and feedback through Blackmagic Cloud.
