As a Post-Production Supervisor, you'll guide a team of skilled editors in producing compelling videos that inform, entertain, and inspire audiences across our renowned platforms, including Linus Tech Tips, TechLinked, and ShortCircuit.
In this pivotal role, you will enhance our storytelling capabilities by streamlining workflows, mentoring editors, and ensuring each video upholds our standards of excellence. Reporting to the Film Production Manager, you'll collaborate with various departments to overcome production challenges, support team growth, and drive the evolution of our content creation processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily standups and weekly meetings to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all departments involved in content production.
- Oversee video editing assignments, maintaining a balance between meeting deadlines and achieving exceptional quality standards.
- Manage sponsorship integrations and coordinate with external partners to synchronize expectations and deliverables.
- Maintain production schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
- Ensure smooth footage transfer and data management, supporting the technical and creative aspects of production.
- Conduct reviews of video edits, animations, and other visual elements at various stages to guarantee alignment with our vision.
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, performance evaluations, and team communications.
- Mentor editors, providing constructive feedback to nurture their growth and uphold consistent editing quality.
- Lead the department by anticipating challenges, adjusting priorities, and fostering professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role within video production, preferably with a focus on digital media or YouTube channels.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects on both PC and MAC platforms.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and channels concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for leading and inspiring teams.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to post-production software and hardware.
- Deep understanding of diverse storytelling techniques and visual styles.
- Experience utilizing stock media libraries and innovative tools to enhance video and audio quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio for video optimization and analytics.
- Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and clearance requirements.
- A comprehensive understanding of Linus Media Group's content library.
- Proficiency in workflow management tools like Slack, Discord, and Google Workspace.
- Capability to participate in the editing process to ensure top-tier content delivery.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of CAD $80,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also comes with a discretionary bonus and additional benefits, reflecting our commitment to rewarding our teamโs contributions.
