August is seeking a skilled video editor to transform select Overwatch match footage into engaging, approximately 20-minute YouTube videos. This remote role focuses on turning livestream content into polished episodes that highlight the funniest, most exciting, and most memorable moments from each session.
We publish on a strict bi-weekly schedule, so consistency and reliability are essential. Each video should be completed and ready for upload every 14 days.
In addition to the creative opportunity, this position offers a revenue share arrangement, with 50% of ad revenue from the videos you edit.
The ideal editor has a strong feel for gaming content and can quickly identify the moments that matter most. Experience with Overwatch is a major plus, but we also welcome applicants who are deeply familiar with FPS or hero-based shooters and are eager to learn the game in more detail.
You should be comfortable working with livestream-based footage, especially projects that may include separate audio tracks. A strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention is important, particularly when crafting an opening that hooks viewers within the first few seconds.
Weโre also looking for someone who can seamlessly incorporate livestream chat reactions when they add value to the final cut, and who can make thoughtful audio adjustments when needed to improve the viewing experience.
Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience editing similar long-form gaming content, not just shorts or montage-style edits. A portfolio of published YouTube work is required so we can review your editing style and experience.
Because this role is focused on authentic creative work, we do not allow the use of AI tools in any part of the editing process.
Most importantly, weโre looking for someone who can deliver high-quality edits consistently, maintain a strong sense of pacing, and help bring each Overwatch video to life for viewers.
