About the Role

Built By Gamers creates immersive long-form content across gaming theory and internet horror, reaching a massive audience with videos centered on Roblox horror, Minecraft mysteries, FNAF lore, and the Backrooms. We’re looking for a skilled editor who understands that great editing is more than clean cuts—it’s about shaping attention, building suspense, and keeping viewers invested throughout every minute of the story. This is a remote contract opportunity with steady weekly work.

What We’re Looking For

The right editor knows how to diagnose why one video keeps viewers hooked while another loses momentum early. You should be comfortable making smart creative choices that improve pacing, amplify tension, and support retention. A strong understanding of gaming culture and online horror is essential, especially if you already recognize the language, references, and visual style of communities built around Roblox, FNAF, Minecraft, and similar formats. We value editors who communicate clearly, meet deadlines consistently, and are open to feedback and iteration.

What You’ll Do

• Edit one long-form video each week using provided script and voiceover
• Select, organize, and sync gameplay footage and supporting visuals to match the narrative flow
• Shape pacing to maximize audience retention with strong openings, strategic transitions, and well-timed reveals
• Add music and sound effects that deepen the atmosphere and enhance the horror tone
• Refine your edits using performance insights and feedback to improve future videos

What You Need

• At least 3 years of experience editing YouTube content, with a long-form portfolio to share
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Strong instincts for sound design and audio layering
• Solid familiarity with Roblox, Minecraft, FNAF, and horror-focused YouTube storytelling
• Dependable weekly delivery and clear remote communication in English
