Long-Form Editor, AI Video Tutorial Channel ($300-400/video)

👉 Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled long-form video editor to help shape the voice and pace of our AI-focused YouTube channel. Our content features two on-camera hosts, screen captures, AI-generated visuals, and energetic motion graphics designed to teach viewers how to use AI video tools effectively while keeping them engaged from start to finish.

Each episode runs about 10 to 15 minutes, and we publish around eight videos per month. This is not a one-off editing assignment — we want someone who can learn the style of the channel, improve with each upload, and become a reliable creative partner over time. The first month will be project-based, with the opportunity to move into a monthly retainer if the fit is right.

What you’ll be editing

You’ll take raw footage, a script, and a timestamped outline, then turn them into a polished, fast-moving video with strong pacing and clear storytelling. That includes tightening talking-head sections, integrating screen recordings smoothly, and shaping the final cut so every segment feels purposeful and engaging.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Editing two-camera talking-head footage and screen recordings into concise, high-energy tutorials
• Designing custom motion graphics such as timers, counters, scoreboards, callouts, and on-screen prompts
• Adding music, sound effects, and audio treatment that support the rhythm of the edit
• Working with our brand colors, app assets, and visual guidelines to keep the channel consistent
• Delivering a first cut within 3–4 days of receiving footage, with one revision round included

What we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from editors who have experience working on tech, AI, software, or tutorial-style YouTube channels and can point to results on channels with a meaningful audience. You should have a strong sense of pacing, know how to remove dead space, and understand when to use cuts, zooms, and visual emphasis to keep viewers watching.

We’re especially interested in editors who can create motion graphics independently in After Effects or DaVinci Resolve Fusion rather than relying only on prebuilt templates. Clear communication matters too — we value editors who respond promptly, stay organized, and meet deadlines without needing constant follow-up.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience with After Effects or Fusion for motion graphics
• At least 2 years of long-form YouTube editing experience
• Strong written and spoken English

Location

This role is remote and open to editors based in the UK, Europe, or North America, ideally within 3 hours of UK time for easier collaboration.

Compensation

We are offering approximately $300–$400 per video, with the possibility of transitioning to a monthly retainer after the initial trial month, depending on performance and fit.

👉 How to Apply?

Please send:

• Two edited video samples
• Timestamped examples showing motion graphics you personally created
• A brief note explaining what you were responsible for on each project
• Your turnaround time
• Your rate for a 12-minute video

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a paid test edit: a 3-minute segment using the same footage as other applicants, with a 72-hour deadline. We’ll make the final selection from that test.
