Position Overview

Psychopoly is seeking a skilled and dependable video editor to elevate the quality of our YouTube channel, ensuring each video maintains a cohesive and professional aesthetic. This role offers flexibility in pricing based on project needs and provides the opportunity for a long-term partnership.

Responsibilities

As a video editor at Psychopoly, you will work with raw footage ranging from 60 to 100 minutes of talking head recordings, refining it to a polished, final product of 30 to 60 minutes. Your tasks will include integrating static images and visuals that we provide, performing basic audio adjustments, inserting chapter markers as per the script, and exporting the final video optimized for YouTube. You will also be required to deliver the project files upon completion.

This role demands a clean, straightforward editing style without complex animations or effects—simple yet professional.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in editing long-form content for YouTube, specifically videos exceeding 30 minutes.
• A swift turnaround time of 3 to 5 business days for each project.
• The ability to work independently with minimal oversight, utilizing a provided script and image folder.
• Strong communication skills to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is preferred; however, experience with Premiere Pro or similar software is acceptable.

Qualifications

• A track record of collaborating with larger YouTube channels.
• A good sense of humor and the ability to grasp the content's context and nuances.
• Excellent command of the English language.
