About DDNS

DDNS (Day Dreamers Night Streamers) is a fast-growing creator collective focused on gaming, entertainment, and personality-led content. We’re looking for a Lead Video Editor who can help define the look, rhythm, and energy of our YouTube channel as we continue to grow.

This role is for someone who can do more than assemble footage. We need an editor who understands what makes viewers stay: sharp comedic timing, clear storytelling, strong pacing, and a feel for the personalities in the room. From gaming sessions and group challenges to skits, IRL moments, competitions, and spontaneous chaos, you’ll transform raw recordings into videos that feel complete, polished, and highly watchable.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take long-form raw footage and shape it into engaging YouTube episodes that feel intentional from start to finish. That includes identifying the best moments, building a narrative arc, and making sure each video lands with energy, clarity, and personality.

Your work will involve editing multi-person gaming content, syncing different camera angles or perspectives when needed, and using creative tools like captions, punch-ins, zooms, reaction inserts, memes, motion graphics, music, and sound effects to elevate the humor and story without overdoing it.

You’ll also help maintain the distinct personality of each DDNS member, ensuring the final edit feels like a real group dynamic rather than a generic montage. Organization, communication, deadline management, and thoughtful revision handling are all important parts of the role.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal editor understands that strong YouTube editing is about judgment as much as technique. You know when to cut quickly, when to let a moment breathe, and how to make a reaction, joke, or payoff land at exactly the right time.

We’re especially interested in someone with experience in creator-led content, gaming channels, comedy edits, challenge videos, story-driven content, or IRL group formats. A strong sense of internet culture, sound design, pacing, and visual comedy will go a long way in this role.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who can show a strong portfolio of long-form YouTube work and who have at least 3 years of editing experience, though exceptional work may outweigh years on paper.

Additional requirements include professional-level skills in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, with After Effects experience strongly preferred. You should be comfortable working remotely, communicating clearly in English, taking feedback well, and collaborating through revisions when needed.

Editing Direction

Our creative references include the high-energy, personality-driven style seen in groups like RDCWorld and AMP. That said, we are not looking for a direct imitation. The goal is to build a DDNS editing style that feels original, recognizable, and aligned with our own chemistry and humor.

We want viewers to eventually know a DDNS video by the way it feels: the pacing, the comedic rhythm, the storytelling, and the way moments are framed. That’s the standard we’re aiming for.

Compensation & Growth

Initial projects are expected to fall in the range of $200 to $500 per video, depending on footage volume, complexity, length, and overall experience. This starts as a per-project opportunity, with the potential to grow into a consistent long-term partnership.

We’re especially interested in finding a Lead Editor who can develop with the channel over time and become a trusted creative collaborator as DDNS expands. For strong candidates, we may begin with a short paid test edit using provided footage before moving into a full project.
