About the Opportunity

Lumiere Education is looking for a talented video editor to help shape our voice across Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. In this role, you’ll transform raw clips and creative ideas into polished, scroll-stopping content that speaks directly to ambitious high school students.

As part of this work, you’ll collaborate closely with Stephen, our founder, and our broader creative team to produce videos that are clear, engaging, and built to connect with a student audience. We create content that helps learners explore research opportunities, strengthen their extracurricular profiles, and better understand the path to college admissions.

We’re a large team with a strong passion for education, but this role is highly collaborative and hands-on. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, shape content direction, and help bring educational concepts to life in a way that feels modern and compelling.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong instincts for short-form video, including how to build attention quickly, maintain momentum, and create content people want to watch and share.
• Familiarity with the mindset and challenges of high school students, especially those aiming to study in the United States.
• Excellent English skills, with the ability to catch subtle wording issues, caption mistakes, and visual mismatches.
• A genuine interest in learning and education, along with curiosity about student-focused content.
• Someone who takes initiative, shares ideas, welcomes feedback, and works with a strong sense of ownership.
• Interest or experience in editing content for creators, educators, or personal brands is a plus.

Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing experience editing Instagram Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts, preferably with talking-head or on-camera content.
• Ability to edit confidently in a modern video editing tool; experience with CapCut is especially valued.

You’ll help us create content that feels sharp, informative, and highly engaging for a student audience. The ideal editor can take a simple idea or rough recording and turn it into a polished video that holds attention, communicates clearly, and reflects Lumiere’s educational mission.
