Geography By Geoff, the creative force behind a fast-growing educational YouTube presence, is seeking a skilled scriptwriter to help develop the voice and storytelling of the channel’s flagship series. This remote role is ideal for a writer who loves turning research into engaging narratives and knows how to keep viewers hooked from the first line to the final takeaway.

We’re looking for someone who can blend strong storytelling instincts with a clear understanding of educational content. The right candidate will be able to break down complex geography topics into accessible, entertaining scripts that feel polished, informative, and built for YouTube audiences.

In this position, you’ll prepare background research for weekly topics, shape those insights into scripts averaging 2,500 to 3,000 words, and collaborate closely with Geoff and the production team through feedback and revisions. Consistency, creativity, and a strong sense of pacing are essential.

The ideal applicant has several years of writing experience, preferably with a background in YouTube or digital media scripting. You should be confident in English, comfortable working independently on a dependable schedule, and able to communicate clearly if availability changes. Because originality is important to the team, all submissions and scripts must be fully human-written and may be checked for AI-generated content.

Experience creating educational or documentary-style content is a plus, especially if you already have an interest in geography and world topics. If you enjoy researching deeply, writing with clarity, and helping shape stories that inform as much as they entertain, this could be a great fit.
