We are launching a high-quality, faceless YouTube documentary channel that unravels true stories at the intersection of technology, trust, privacy, cyber incidents, and human vulnerability. Our content inspires curiosity and incites reflection, and we need a talented video editor to bring our narratives to life.
We draw inspiration from acclaimed creators like James Jani and ColdFusion, and our style echoes the investigative depth of Netflix documentaries. This role is not about quick social media edits; it’s about crafting immersive, cinematic experiences that hold viewers’ attention from start to finish.
As our Video Editor, you will be pivotal in transforming detailed scripts into engaging, long-form videos (10-15 minutes). You will skillfully blend stock footage, motion graphics, and sound design to create a seamless narrative flow, capturing audience interest with every scene. Your ability to weave stories with emotional tension and cinematic pacing will be key to our success.
Initially, you will undertake a paid test project, with opportunities for long-term collaboration based on performance.
You are a passionate and experienced editor who thrives in documentary or cinematic YouTube content creation. You have a keen eye for storytelling, not just in piecing together visuals but in crafting a narrative that resonates emotionally. You excel at maintaining viewer retention through clever pacing and visual rhythm without relying on flashy tricks.
Your expertise includes combining stock footage, motion graphics, sound design, and subtle effects to construct polished narratives. You are adaptable to creative direction and enjoy refining your work through iterations. Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows is a plus, but your storytelling prowess is what truly sets you apart.
To excel in this role, you should have:
Bonus skills include familiarity with Adobe Audition, Photoshop, Descript, and ElevenLabs, as well as prior experience with faceless YouTube channels.
