Keith Edwards is looking for a skilled Clips Channel Editor to help shape long-form commentary, interviews, livestreams, and podcast moments into polished 3โ5 minute videos built for audience retention. This is a remote role for an editor who knows how to find the strongest moments quickly, build an immediate hook, and craft clips that feel complete, engaging, and easy to watch from start to finish.
We want someone who understands the rhythm of successful clips channels and can edit with confidence and speed. The right person will know how to remove dead space, tighten pacing, and bring out the most compelling parts of a conversation without losing context. A strong instinct for what will resonate on YouTube is essential, especially when working with fast-moving political commentary and current events.
The ideal candidate is highly online, culturally aware, and comfortable working independently with minimal direction. You should be able to recognize strong moments on your own, shape them into clean and engaging edits, and deliver work that feels current, sharp, and tailored to the pace of modern YouTube audiences. Familiarity with the style of fast-paced clips channels is a plus, especially when it comes to quick cutting, clear structure, and strong opening seconds.
In this role, youโll be expected to edit efficiently while maintaining quality across every clip. That includes adding captions, zooms, motion accents, and other light enhancements that support the story without distracting from it. A strong understanding of retention, thumbnail and title awareness, and how to keep viewers engaged throughout the full runtime will help you succeed here.
What weโre looking for:
Weโre seeking an editor with several years of experience working on YouTube clips or similar short-to-mid-length commentary content. You should be fluent in English, highly reliable, and comfortable turning around content quickly, including on fast-moving news cycles. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable editing platform is expected.
Required qualifications include:
Experience editing clips, reaction, interview, livestream, podcast, scripted, talking head, or Shorts/Reels-style content for YouTube
Ability to identify standout moments and turn them into strong standalone videos
Solid understanding of pacing, hooks, retention, and clip-channel best practices
Comfort using captions, zooms, graphics, and subtle motion effects
Knowledge of U.S. politics, current events, and online discourse
Fast, dependable communication and consistent turnaround times
Portfolio or examples of prior clips channel work are required
If youโre an editor who can move quickly, think creatively, and consistently produce clips that hold attention, weโd love to see your work.
