As the Brand Director for Emil's personal brand, you will be at the forefront of transforming raw engineering insights and impressive build footage into compelling storytelling. Working closely with Emil, you will turn visionary ideas into engaging content that captivates audiences across multiple platforms.

Your role will be dynamic and hands-on, managing every aspect of the video production process from initial concept to polished final cut. If you have a passion for aviation and a talent for creating impactful visual stories, this is an opportunity to make your mark in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of video production, including concept development, filming, audio, lighting, and editing
• Capture and promote founder-driven narratives for platforms like YouTube, Shorts, and Reels
• Film on location at our hangars and other strategic locations to document key events and milestones
• Shape and maintain the brand's visual identity, ensuring it is cinematic, precise, and innovative
• Establish a consistent schedule for releasing both long-form and short-form content
• Manage all post-production activities such as media organization, editing, and publishing
• Oversee equipment and studio management, ensuring everything is optimized for content creation
• Collaborate closely with Emil to refine storytelling approaches and develop a robust content strategy
• Mentor and lead a team of creatives, including editors, designers, and production staff

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience producing content focused on founder-led or brand-first stories
• Expertise in cinematography, including lighting, framing, and creative direction
• Proficient in editing software such as Premiere, DaVinci, or Final Cut, with a knack for crafting compelling narratives
• Comfortable managing solo shoots and adapting to on-the-fly changes
• Ability to guide and direct talent effectively during filming
• In-depth understanding of platform strategies for audience retention and engagement
• A diverse portfolio demonstrating a range of styles from cinematic storytelling to engaging shorts
• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a preference for agile, dynamic workflows
• Bonus: A technical background or a strong interest in aerospace, engineering, or defense sectors

• Expand Emil's digital presence to over 100K YouTube subscribers and establish a strong multi-platform footprint
• Position Sorian Aerospace as a leader in the aerospace industry, attracting engineers, investors, and operators
• Develop a highly efficient content creation process that prioritizes clarity and speed
• Create a scalable content strategy that supports the company's growth trajectory

Location & Availability

This full-time position is based in Long Beach, CA/Orange County, CA. Flexibility is required for shoots that align with test schedules, events, or spontaneous project milestones. Travel may be necessary.
